Urgent and Emergency Care: We're Here When Your Pet Needs Us Most

If your pet is experiencing an urgent situation, please don’t hesitate to call our hospital during business hours to let us know what’s going on. We are dedicated to providing urgent and emergency care and will make every effort to see your pet as quickly as possible. One of the biggest advantages of bringing your pet to us is that, if a procedure is needed, we can most likely perform it right here in our hospital. Your pet’s health and well-being are our top priorities, and we’re here to provide the care they need every step of the way.

What Constitutes Urgent Care?
Urgent care refers to serious medical conditions that require immediate attention. Clinical signs that may indicate the need for urgent care include:

  • Pale or yellow mucous membranes

  • Difficulty breathing or labored respiration

  • Persistent or excessive coughing

  • Reduced tolerance for physical activity or exercise

  • Loss of appetite or anorexia

  • Signs of dehydration

  • Unusual lethargy or fatigue

  • Straining or difficulty urinating or defecating

  • Increased frequency of litter box use or prolonged time spent in the litter box

  • Sudden onset of vomiting and/or diarrhea

  • Visible signs of pain or anxiety

  • Swollen or closed eyelids

  • Sudden lameness or inability to bear weight on a limb

  • Presence of foxtails embedded in fur, skin, or other areas

  • Ingestion of foreign objects, such as toys, string, or non-edible materials

These symptoms should prompt immediate veterinary evaluation to ensure timely and appropriate treatment.
