Dr. Antonio Pedraza completed postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom, focused on orthopedics, spinal and complex soft tissue surgery, and brings more than 20 years of experience to every procedure. Our surgical suite is equipped for orthopedics, laparoscopy and endoscopy, with airway surgery for flat-faced breeds and advanced soft tissue surgery.

What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The hospital is closed on Saturday and Sunday, but our phone line is still answered.
Are you open 24 hours? Where do I go for an emergency after hours?
No, we are not a 24-hour hospital. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. For emergencies after hours, Veterinary Emergency Group – Santa Monica at 2700 Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (424) 538-4535.
Do you see urgent cases?
Yes, during business hours. Call (310) 310-3704 and tell us what is going on: we make every effort to see urgent cases as quickly as possible, and if a procedure is needed we can usually perform it here.

Which animals do you treat?
We care for dogs and cats of every age, from puppy and kitten visits and wellness exams to senior care, urgent care during business hours and surgery. If you are unsure whether we can help with your pet, call us and we will tell you.
Do you perform TPLO surgery for torn cruciate ligaments?
Yes. TPLO is one of the most common orthopedic procedures we perform for cranial cruciate ligament rupture, and most dogs go home the same day or the day after surgery.
Do you offer laparoscopic spays?
Yes. A laparoscopic spay uses one or two dime-sized incisions instead of one long cut. Studies suggest less post-operative pain than an open spay, though the evidence is limited. Activity is usually restricted for 5 to 7 days.
Do you operate on bulldogs and other flat-faced breeds?
Yes. We perform brachycephalic airway (BOAS) surgery for bulldogs, French bulldogs, pugs and other flat-faced breeds, widening narrow nostrils and shortening an elongated soft palate, with ventilator-supported anesthesia.
Who leads the hospital?
Dr. Antonio Pedraza, DVM, MVM, cert SAS, MRCVS. He was born and raised in Sevilla (Seville), Spain, completed postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom and holds a Master's degree in Small Animal Surgery & Traumatology from Madrid.
Do you accept referrals from other veterinarians?
Yes. We work closely with referring veterinarians, keep them updated with detailed reports, and offer free consultations for potential surgical referrals.
